With quivering dry lips..
Almost faking a smile
She turned her back to me
Saying, I wish you were mine

And For the last time..
she held my hand in hers
Many seconds gone..
Without hearing a murmur..

I realised that eternity
Ain't 'till death do us apart'
It lapses in between..
The skips of beating heart
